Anya is a Physical Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist at St. Elizabeth Sports & Physical Therapy, Antelope Creek, 2510 S. 40th Street, Suite 200, Lincoln, NE.  

She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 1995.  She received her Master of Physical Therapy from University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2000 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2005 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She spent four years working at the Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she gained invaluable experience working in these areas of rehabilitation:  spinal cord injury and other neurological injuries, cardiac, geriatric, home health care. It was here where she began developing exercise programs for people with cancer.  She also became interested in lymphedema therapy.

 In 2007, she continued her education, becoming a certified lymphedema therapist through the Norton School of Lymphatic Studies. She is certified through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA).  Certification from LANA represents the most comprehensive understanding of lymphedema and current knowledge of how to treat it.

She pioneered the Lymphedema Program at St. Elizabeth Physical Therapy in Lincoln, Nebraska and has extensive experience treating patients with cancer.  She was awarded the Above and Beyond Award in 2012 by the St. Elizabeth Foundation, recognizing her for excellent patient care.

Her areas of interest include caring for patient with oncology rehabilitation needs.  She also educates individuals about risk reduction practices for early detection and surveillance of arm lymphedema.

She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Nebraska Physical Therapy Association, Oncology Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Lymphedema Network.

She lives in Lincoln with her husband, Jason and their son, Atticus.  She enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, bicycling, baking, and yoga.
