David Doubblestein, PT, PhD(ABD), OCS, Cert. MDT, CLT-LANA, LLCC is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and obtained his physical therapy licensure in the State of Michigan in 1997. He has been treating lymphedema and has developed lymphedema treatment programs after accomplishing his LLCC certification in 2001. In 2013 David pursued further studies in complete decongestive therapy through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS) and successfully completed the CLT certification. David has taught lymphatic and lymphedema curriculums for the International Alliance of Healthcare Educators, Chikly Health Institute, and currently for ACOLS. He is the author the book Manual Lymphatic Techniques for the Orthopedic Manual Therapist. David is a credentialed McKenzie Diagnosis and Therapy practitioner, and in 2019 he received his board certification as a clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association. His national certification as a certified lymphedema therapist was earned in 2019. Recently completing his certificate of Ph.D. candidacy in physical therapy at the University of Michigan – Flint, David continues to pursue his research interests in lymphology, lymphatic disorders, and orthopedics. He currently is employed at A.T. Still University and serve on the Board of Directors for the Lymphology Association of North America.
