Julie Hunley is part of Mount Mary University's occupational therapy department faculty research and neurology. She received initial lymphedema training from Albert LeDuc in 1997 while providing service through The Lymphedema Center in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Advanced training was through the LeDucs, Anne-Marie Vaillant-Newman, Bruno Chikly, and others. Vodder training was obtained through Guenther Klose. Julie has worked as part of lymphedema treatment teams and as a specialized practitioner on interdisciplinary teams. She has an active community-based research program with African American breast cancer survivors focused on decreasing disease risk factors and improving quality of life and collaborates with colleagues at the Medical College of Wisconsin. With this group, she has recently completed two clinical trials.
