Kathryn McKillip Thrift, LMT

Kathryn was certified as a therapist in the Dr. Vodder Method of Manual Lymph Drainage/Combined Decongestive Therapy in 1987. She received her certification as a Vodder Basic Instructor in 1992 and was certified as a Vodder Therapy I Instructor in 1997. She has received additional training in lymphedema management in Australia with the Casley-Smiths (1994) and in Germany at the Foeldi School (1998).
Kathryn maintains a private practice in Dallas, Texas as well as being the clinical supervisor of the Lymphedema Program at Medical City Dallas Hospital.
She has been a member of the American Massage Therapy Association since 1985, serving in various Board and Committee positions. In 1992, she became a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Bodyworker. She was on the founding Board and served as President of the North American Vodder Association of Lymphatic Therapy (NAVALTŪ), the professional association of Dr. Vodder School graduates, and is currently serving as a committee chair.
From 1997 until 1999, she served on the Board of Directors of the National Lymphedema Network (NLN), and continues to serve on their Medical Advisory Committee. She is an original member of the Board of Directors of the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA).
Kathryn has a B.S. degree from Central Missouri State University.
